Sandra Soerries joins as Director of Coding and Compliance

Department B (formerly PM&R Resources Inc) is pleased to announce the addition of Sandra Soerries to our team as Director of Coding and Compliance. Many of you will know Sandra from her work conducting numerous coding and billing workshops for the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R). In addition, Sandra has more than 25 years of experience with hospitals and physician practices. She provides consulting for health care providers, attorneys and other health care organizations in the areas of CPT/HCPCS, ICD-9-CM, medical record documentation and compliance planning and development.

She has developed many coding tools and programs that have been accredited by the American Academy of Professional Coders, Medical Group Management Association and American Health Information Management Association. Sandra presents nationally on coding topics as well as developing specialized training programs to meet the needs of her clients.

Sandra has been involved in numerous consulting engagements including litigation support at the state and federal level. She assists hospitals, physicians and other health care providers in their daily compliance activities.

Sandra is a certified professional coder (CPC) and certified professional coder-hospital (CPC-H). She is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), AAPC of KC, American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). Sandra received a B.S. degree in business from LaSalle University.
