TEXAS ORTHOPAEDIC ASSOCIATION SIGNS PREFFERED PROVIDER AGREEMENT WITH DEPARTMENT B

The Texas Orthopaedic Association (TOA) has announced it has signed a preferred provider agreement with Department B. The agreement will provide TOA members with access to Department B’s practice management outsourcing solutions as well as their transcription, physician recruiting and practice management consulting services.

"TOA has a long-standing tradition of providing a forum for all of the surgeons in our state to receive scientific education and training of musculoskeletal conditions and emerging technologies within the profession of orthopedics", said Donna Parker, Executive Director. "TOA understands that the complexities and fluency of the business side of practicing medicine today demands our Association evolve and enhance our practice management resources and education. With that goal in mind, it is our hope to identify companies who can deliver valuable services and education to our members. We greatly look forward to further developing our relationship with Department B."

Parvaze Bashir, CEO for Department B explained "this arrangement includes preferred pricing so that we can provide TOA members with sorely needed business services to which independent practices usually do not have access."

Founded in 1928, the TOA is a non-profit organization of over 1500 orthopedic surgeons across the State of Texas. Musculoskeletal conditions are the most common causes of severe long-term pain and physical disability. Texas Orthopaedic Association strives to assure excellence in musculoskeletal health by promoting the highest professional, ethical, and moral standards while providing quality care for Texans afflicted with bone and joint disorders and injuries.
